I can recommend using ‘traction’ gloves, especially for quilting. It makes it so much easier! Less struggle with the whole quilt sandwich or grabbing it awkwardly so you pull the fabric and in the meanwhile get a cramp in your hand.
First I used ‘real’ quilting gloves with rubberised fingertips. But after frequent usage the rubber on the fingertips wore off. And by coincidence I ran in to a pair of gloves, at our local paint supply store. They are cotton and have rubberised dots on the whole palm side of the gloves. They work just as great as ‘real’ quilting gloves, but with one big plus, they cost not even a quarter compared to ‘real’ quilting gloves (well here int The Netherlands anyway). I love these especially because they are made of cotton fabric so they don’t feel so sweaty.
