The wedding season is already in full swing. And if you ever wonder what to do with your wedding dress after the big event … keep on reading. My parents had their 50th wedding anniversary end of last year and as a surprise I made a Vintage Lace Quilt for them, reusing the lace and satin from my Mums wedding dress (the white parts of the quilt).
I wanted to make a custom design for this quilt. But after I came across the Vintage Lace Quilts by Lo & Behold Stitchery I was sold and I had to make this design.
I love how it turned out, however I can tell you sewing double layers of lace ons satin is not something I will be doing again (those slippery suckers went in all directions….). But all in all it turned out just as I imagined. And my parents love it too!
